Our pistachios for sale are grown on a small family farm in California. We purchase only the highest quality organic pistachios, shelled with care yielding high-grade, whole kernels. They have a rich green color, delightful flavor, and a crunchy texture. They make a wonderful gift and are an excellent guilt-free snack option. BENEFITS OF SOAKING AND DEHYDRATING NUTS
Phytic acid, which is naturally found in nuts, protects them until they’re ready to germinate. Phytic acid is known to bind to certain minerals and because of that, it is then transformed into a phytate. Phytates inhibit your body’s ability to absorb some of the nut’s nutrients.
Many cycles of soaking, rinsing, and drying raw pistachios starts to break down the enzyme inhibitors as the nuts release their protective shield and unlock stored nutrients to prepare for growth. This process creates what some refer to as "activated nuts."
Once the soaking process is complete, we dehydrate our pistachios slowly at a very low temperature to extend the shelf-life and give them a delicate crunch. This low-heat method preserves the nutrients and ensures that our organic pistachios remain entirely raw.
