Mindfully Packaged

This was my first experience with soaked and dried raw nuts. They are not the same as raw nuts but are a much healthier choice. They are crispy but not roasted. I’m just thankful that I can buy them instead of having to go through the hassle of soaking and dehydrating them!

Organic walnuts

The Highest Quality Organic Raw Walnuts

These soaked walnuts are “activated” using a soaking and low-temperature dehydrating method in our facility. By soaking nuts, phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors that may interfere with nutrient absorption are broken down. We then dehydrate them at low temperatures to preserve nutrients, micronutrients, and enzymes.

The end result is crispy, great-tasting raw walnuts. We take extra measures, such as excellent quality control, cool storage, and vapor barrier packaging, to preserve freshness and ensure that you receive only the best walnuts!

What Makes Our Organic Walnuts Special?

At Wildly Organic, we work hard to procure the best walnuts for sale and “activate” them before packaging.

According to many nutritionists, this activation process is the best way to ensure all the beneficial nutrients of the nuts are preserved since it breaks down the enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid within the organic raw walnuts. Why is this important? Because these inhibitors may interfere with nutrient absorption.

We soak, rinse, and dehydrate each batch of organic walnuts to eliminate this compound so you may absorb all the incredible nutrients of the walnuts. Our dehydration technique makes the nuts delicious and creates a delicate crunch your taste buds will enjoy.

In 2003, the FDA approved a qualified health claim stating “scientific evidence suggests, but does not prove, that eating 1.5 ounces per day of most nuts as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.”

FAQ

Do you still have questions about our organic raw walnuts? Maybe these FAQs will help!

Do walnuts need to be organic?

Choosing organic walnuts ensures they are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, following sustainable farming practices that don’t harm the environment. Non-organic nuts may be exposed to harsh chemicals that are dangerous for your health and pollute the soil. So go organic when possible.

How many walnuts can I eat per day?

Studies show that eating an ounce of nuts every day may reduce your risk of various diseases, such as heart disease, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol. One ounce of soaked walnuts is about a small handful or one-quarter cup. Add these walnuts to your daily diet for an extra boost to your health.

Which nut is highest in omega-3?

Organic walnuts are some of the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids, with about 2.5 grams of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) per ounce. You can easily take advantage of the benefits of these nuts in the kitchen to meet your recommended daily dose of omega-3.

How do soaked and dried walnuts differ in taste and texture from regular raw walnuts?

Soaked and dried walnuts tend to have a milder, less bitter flavor with a slightly softer, chewier texture compared to regular raw walnuts. Soaking the organic walnuts reduces their bitterness and enhances digestibility. Meanwhile, drying preserves them for extended storage.

What is the shelf life of soaked and dried walnuts?

When kept in a cool, airtight container, soaked and dried organic raw walnuts usually remain fresh for a minimum of 9 months. Storing them in a dark, dry location preserves their crunch and nutritional value.

Are soaked walnuts better for digestion?

Soaking and dehydrating walnuts reduces enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid, which may interfere with nutrient absorption and digestion.
