Benefits Of Raw Sunflower Seeds

Our uncooked sunflower seeds pack a punch! Loaded with micronutrients, Wildly Organic’s sunflower seeds are activated through a low-temperature soaking and dehydrating process that unlocks their full nutritional potential and gives them a delicate crunch.

The FDA approved a qualified health claim in 2003 stating that “scientific evidence suggests, but does not prove, that eating 1.5 ounces per day of most nuts as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease.” Check the nutrition label for specific information on fat and calories.

How We Activate Sunflower Seeds

Phytic acid occurs naturally in nuts and seeds. It protects them until they’re ready for germination. Unfortunately, phytic acid binds to certain minerals, transforming into a phytate. This compound can inhibit your body’s ability to absorb nutrients from the raw sunflower seeds. “Activating” them can help.

Our sunflower seeds undergo an "activation" process involving soaking and low-temperature dehydration in our facility. This method reduces phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors, enhancing nutrient absorption. After soaking, we gently dehydrate the seeds to maintain their nutritional value, resulting in crispy, flavorful raw seeds.

We prioritize quality control, cool storage, and vapor barrier packaging to ensure optimal freshness and quality.
