A Raw Cacao Butter Unlike Any Other
Wildly Organic’s raw, certified cacao butter differs from standard versions you find elsewhere. Raw cacao butter is the "by-product" of making the raw cacao powder. The fresh beans are separated from the pod and then air dried at low temperatures. The beans go through a roller to break the outer membrane before being ground and pressed to remove the oil. After pressing the oil out of the cacao nibs, the "butter" is removed, separating it from the fibrous powder. Because the process does not contain any fermentation or heat (the processes typically used in cocoa butter extraction), the resulting raw cocoa butter and raw cacao powder are not bitter. Our cacao butter is never exposed to chemicals. The difference is in the details, and we think you’ll appreciate — and taste — that difference!
