An Outstanding Coconut Oil for Food, Skin, and Hair!
Wildly Organic Centrifuged Extracted Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil is different from most other coconut oils. Made from freshly pressed coconut cream, it passes through a series of centrifuges that separate the oil from the water components of the cream. The result is a pure, isolated oil that is creamy and smooth with a very mild, light coconut aroma and taste. Many feel it is the best raw coconut oil available anywhere and will eat it off the spoon.
How Centrifuge Extracted Coconut Oil is Made – What Makes It Different, And Better!
Our Centrifuge Extracted Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is made in the following way:
1. Press
First, we press the fresh, white flesh of the coconut to get a coconut cream or milk. After shelling the coconut, it takes less than 45 minutes to produce the cream. This cream is approximately 40% oil. We closely monitor the temperatures of the coconut flesh and the resulting coconut cream emulsion to ensure they do not exceed 120° F.
2. Centrifuge
This coconut cream, with the aid of a series of centrifuges, is separated into its naturally refined coconut oil and water components. A number of passes through different centrifuges are needed to isolate a pure raw coconut oil, but the result is absolutely fabulous!
3. Vacuum
Lastly, a slight vacuum is placed on the coconut oil to remove any remaining traces of moisture. Once all moisture is removed, the oil is packaged into new food-grade stainless steel drums for shipment to the US. Generally, the raw coconut oil is completely clear like spring water when it is in a liquid state and pure white when it is in a solid-state.
Centrifuge Extracted Coconut Oil is typically considered one of the highest quality coconut oils but is also one of the most expensive to produce. There are many brands using the term "extra virgin coconut oil," and although the industry does not recognize that term when applied to coconut oil specifically, our centrifuge extracted organic coconut oil would be the closest thing to organic extra virgin coconut oil.
Taste Testing vs. Other Coconut Oils
Because of its very mild, light coconut taste, our centrifuge extracted, naturally refined coconut oil consistently rates number one every time it is taste-tested; however, many believe Wildly Organic Cold-Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil rivals it. The main difference between the two oils is the taste/flavor of the Cold-Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil — which is generally stronger than the flavor of our Centrifuge Extracted Coconut Oil.
When Should You Use Each Kind of Coconut Oil?
Those who want a stronger, rich coconut flavor and aroma generally prefer the Cold Pressed Coconut Oil. Those who use coconut oil in a variety of applications and want a milder coconut flavor with a lighter coconut aroma certainly prefer the centrifuge extracted oil.
The Wildly Organics Coconut Oil Selection Process
In blindfold taste tests with a selected panel, we have now sampled over 50 different raw coconut oils. We initially sold a traditional Philippine virgin coconut oil made by fermentation. Then, we sold a South Pacific virgin coconut oil (DME, direct micro-expeller extracted). We have also sold centrifuge-extracted coconut oils from other sources. Through the years, we have discontinued carrying many of these oils as better quality organic extra virgin coconut oils were discovered.
Only the Best
It is important to us to know which oils come out the winner in blindfold taste-tests. In addition, we look at laboratory analysis data and certificates of analysis on every oil submitted to us. It is our desire to only carry the highest quality virgin coconut oils, with the longest shelf life available.
