Almond Flour Fritters {Gluten-Free, Vegan}

Have you ever had an Almond Flour Fritter? They are crispy from outside and soft and chewy from inside. It has a distinct flavor of almonds along with a hint of chickpea flour. Overall, it is made from healthy ingredients and is absolutely delicious.

It’s an awesome after school snack and one of the easiest back to school recipes. It's not only vegan but is gluten-free too.

Ingredients for Almond Flour Fritters

  • Wildly Organic Almond Flour – as we know almonds are rich in fiber, protein, and omega 3. This almond flour is simply ground almonds. We love the nutty flavor in these fritters. Moreover, it’s a healthy substitute for gluten-free flour.
  • Chickpea flour – I used it in this recipe to bind the batter a bit. Even though it's gluten-free in nature yet it helps in binding as well as adding more protein to this recipe. It complements other ingredients in these fritters extremely well.
  • Nutritional yeast – this provides a mild cheesy flavor and adds some nutrition too.
  • Himalayan Pink Salt – I found this a little more salty than regular salt but it added a lot more flavor to it than the regular one. It’s a tasteful addition to any recipe and makes these fritters extra delicious.

These Almond Flour Fritters are:

  • Vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free
  • Kid-friendly and an awesome back to school snack recipe
  • Loaded with protein, fiber, omega 3 and B12
  • A crowd-pleaser as well

Tips to make Almond Flour Fritters

  • It is important to grease your palms for every fitter that you shape. Or else they may stick and won’t drop on to the griddle.
  • Do not heat the griddle at very high heat or else these fritters will cook from outside but will taste raw from inside.
  • These taste best when served hot and pairs well with ketchup or mayo.

So, I would insist you on making these right away because I am sure you must be having all these ingredients in your pantry right now.

    3. Grease your hands with oil and take about 1 tablespoon of the batter between your palms and make a flat round shape. Gently, drop it on the warm griddle and let it cook at medium heat until it turns golden brown in color at the bottom and the top starts to dry up. Next, with the help of a spatula, gently flip over the fritter and let it cook again until golden brown at the bottom and the fritter is firmer. Take it out on a plate.
    4. Repeat the above step for the rest of the batter and serve hot with ketchup or your choice of dip.
