Apple Walnut Crumble {Gluten-Free, Vegan}
This delicious Apple Walnut Crumble recipe is perfect for fall. Made with clean organic ingredients, this crumble is a perfect vegan and gluten-free dessert. This Apple Walnut Crumble is filled with warm spices that will make your house smell amazing.
Ingredients for the Apple Walnut Crumble
Apples – Use any favorite apples you love. Pick organic ones, if possible. A great choice will be a combination of tart ones such as Granny Smith or Jonathan and sweet ones such as Honey Crisp.
Gluten-free Old Fashioned Oats – Oats make a great crunchy topping on an apple crisp, plus they add fiber and protein.
Wildly Organic Walnuts – Walnuts taste amazing in this apple crisp. They complement the apples with a wonderful nutty flavor. Wildly Organic Walnuts are amazing. They are raw, soaked, and then dried. They are certified organic and taste delicious.
Wildly Organic Coconut Syrup – This coconut syrup tastes very flavorful and adds a caramel-like taste to the apple crumble. I used it in the apple filling, but I loved adding some on the top before baking, too.
Fall Spices – Cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla are great spice choices for an apple crumble. Feel free to experiment with your favorite fall flavors.
Wildly Organic Coconut Sugar – For the apple crumble topping, I used this wonderful coconut sugar from Wildly Organic. It tastes like brown sugar, and it’s made by collecting the sweet sap of coconut flowers. It’s a better choice of sweetener than white sugar or brown sugar because it has minimal processing.
Wildly Organic Red Palm Oil – this oil is unrefined and high in vitamin A. It’s habit-friendly and sourced from Ecuador. You can replace the palm oil with Wildly Organic Butter Alternative for this recipe.
Tapioca Starch – I added some starch to the apple filling to make this wonderful thick syrup that keeps the flavors together. You can also use other starches like corn starch or arrowroot starch.
As the cooler weather approaches, bake up this apple walnut crumble. Your house will smell amazing, and it might end up being a regular favorite during this fall and holiday season.
