    Instructions
    1. Put the dried chamomile flowers into a jar and covering with the coconut oil to infuse the oil.
    2. Place the mixture in an oven safe bowl in a 200 degree oven for 2 hours.
    3. Allow to cool until you are able to safely handle the infused oil.
    4. Strain the herbs from the oil using a cheesecloth and toss the used herbs the garbage.
    5. Place the oil in an oven-safe bowl or jar and add the shea butter.
    6. Place in a 200 degree oven to allow the shea butter to melt into infused coconut oil.
    7. Add the beeswax and allow that to melt into the oils.
    8. Once the mixture is completely melted, pour into an old muffin tin or soap mold to cool, making 12 "bars".
    9. Allow to cool for at least 3-5 hours.
    10. To remove from the pan, just carefully slide a knife around the hard lotion and pop out.
    11. Store in a cool place. In the summer, I keep mine in the fridge to keep them from melting.
    Recipe Notes

Do not use high heat or you risk the oil burning and the herbs losing their beneficial qualities.

To use, rub into desired area of skin. The lotion will melt with your body heat and will be absorbed into your skin. Be careful if using this on the bottom of your feet, as they can become slippery until it has soaked in completely.

Enjoy your soothing lotion bars, and remember: these also make GREAT gifts!
