Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Perhaps I’m dating myself, but there was a time when pudding came as a powdered mix and people actually had to cook it on the stove top.
Nowadays, many kids only know the chocolate pudding that sits on a store shelf, in a ready-to-eat plastic cup, with far too many ingredients to trust.
Have you ever wondered how that pudding can sit on a shelf without the need for refrigeration, yet it doesn’t go bad? I believe the long list of ingredients has something to do with it. As I get older, I find that I have to know all the ingredients in my food, which is why I prefer to make my own… everything.
Avocado Chocolate Mousse
Mousse is much lighter and has more “air”, yet real mousse takes more time and care.
This “mousse”, on the other hand, comes together in just 10 minutes! And this it’s a pretty creative way to use avocados — one of my favorite superfoods!
I love using Wildly Organic’s Chocolate Syrup as the chocolate element. It’s a product that reminds me of liquid fudge — more fudge than liquid. Yummmmmm!
This recipe will dumbfound picky eaters and skeptics who are convinced that healthy food can’t be delicious.
Don’t tell them what’s in it until they try it. Then watch their mouths drop… priceless!
