DIY Homemade Chocolate Lip BalmWith only four ingredients, you'll whip this DIY homemade chocolate lip balm up in no time. Make it for yourself or double the recipe and share it with friends. It would make a great gift! The chocolate flavor of this lip balm comes from two sources: non-fermented cacao powder. Since the fermented cacao is a little more bitter, I feel the flavor is better for a lip balm with the non-fermented variety. Want to learn more about the difference between fermented and non-fermented cacao powder? See this post. This chocolate lip balm recipe has a great flavor all on its own, but feel free to further customize it by adding a few drops of peppermint or sweet orange essential oil for a flavorful twist. Coconut oil is another important ingredient in this recipe as it aids in moisturizing and softening the lips. Wildly Organic has a number of coconut oil varieties to choose from. All would work well in this recipe. If you prefer to cut down on any coconut scent or flavor, use refined coconut oil.
