Tired, sore, or stinky feet? Try slipping into this relaxing salt foot soak for a calming, soothing, spa-like experience. You can make your own DIY Pink Himalayan Salt Foot Soak with just three simple ingredients. Your feet will thank you for the pampering!

Pink Himalayan salt is a brilliant choice for a foot soak because it’s detoxifying. In our polluted modern world, gentle detoxification is a must.

Why a DIY Pink Himalayan Salt Foot Soak?

Pink Himalayan salt reportedly draws out toxins and bacteria from your feet, which can help with reducing foot fungus and sores. It also helps support skin health, overall body detoxification, and it has antiseptic properties. Use a high-quality salt like Wildly Organic Himalayan Pink Salt, which is pure, unrefined “raw” salt that doesn’t contain any anti-caking agents or additives. It’s sourced from the Himalayan Mountains of northern Pakistan.

It’s suggested that you’ll absorb some trace minerals found in pink Himalayan sea salt when you use it for a foot soak. These minerals include potassium, iodine, calcium, magnesium, and much more. These minerals give it the pink hue, and exist in higher concentrations thanks to it being extracted by hand and undergoing minimal processing.

Salt is also a humectant, meaning water binds to it easily. As a skin treatment, this makes it wonderfully moisturizing. Soaking feet in salt water is great for the winter months when the air is usually drier. Additionally, a pink Himalayan salt foot soak helps to relax your muscles and gives your feet a deep cleanse.

Take Your DIY Foot Soak to the Next Level

If you want the added benefits of aromatherapy for your foot soak, just add your favorite essential oils to your pink Himalayan salt. You’ll want to add a few drops to the salt and stir it up before adding the salt to your water. If you skip this step, the essential oils will end up floating on the surface of the water.

Some of my favorite essential oils for relaxing and detoxifying include lavender, lemongrass, grapefruit, and orange. However, use whichever essential oils you’d like. If you have skin sores or a fungal condition like athlete’s foot, try using antimicrobial essential oils such as eucalyptus, tea tree, or cinnamon for relief.
