Certified organic, raw cacao powders, nibs, butter, and more ways to embrace the flavor and nutrition of raw cacao.
More people are consuming raw cacao and chocolate products than ever before. The essence of chocolate in its purest form, raw cacao lends a distinct, rich flavor to baked goods, snacks, trail mixes and so on. But the real prize is nutrition: Vitamin C, fiber, protein, iron, and more antioxidant flavonoids than red wine, green tea, and blueberries.
Wilderness Family Naturals has one of the largest selections of raw cacao products in the country, all certified organic by the USDA. We offer an array of products for the conscientious cook, including organic Fermented Raw Cacao Powder and Fermented Raw Cacao Nibs with a pleasingly rich and bitter taste, as well as Non-Fermented Raw Cacao Powder, Non-Fermented Raw Cacao Nibs and refined organic chocolate products that are milder in flavor but still brimming with healthful potential.
What the difference between Organic Raw Cacao and Organic Cocoa?
Organic Cacao and organic cocoa are not the same. The difference between them is cacao powder and nibs are made from raw beans that haven't been roasted. They are pressed to remove the cacao butter and then ground for powder or nibs. Cacao is raw as nature intended. Cocoa is made after the cacao bean has been roasted at a high temp to dry the cacao butter out of the beans. Cacao powder retains the enzymes, healthy fats and health benefits found in cacao.
