Chocolate Almond Butter Cookies {Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free}
Is there anything that chocolate doesn’t pair well with? In my experience, no! Chocolate simply makes everything better… as do these chocolate almond butter cookies! Made with simple ingredients, these chocolate almond butter cookies are easy, quick and a tasty (but healthy) treat!
If you’re trying to consume more real food products and less processed ones, you may be stuck when it comes to chocolate. After all, most chocolate flavored items are also heavy in processed sugars, white flours, and additives.
Which is why having a healthier chocolate cookie recipe on hand is so necessary!

If you’re trying to boost your nutrient intake, cacao (aka real chocolate!) is a great place to start. Containing loads of antioxidants, calcium, and iron, consuming chocolate (in a non-processed form) can be really great for you.
Which is why these cookies use cacao in multiple forms: Wildly Organic Cacao Powder and Wildly Organic Chocolate Sauce.
Wildly Organic Chocolate Sauce is made of only two ingredients: cacao powder and agave. It gives you all the benefits of cacao powder and the agave helps sweeten the mixture as well as making it more like a decadent, fudge-based sauce.
You can use this sauce on top of ice cream, smoothie bowls or in this case in tasty cookies to make them thick and full of chocolate deliciousness.
Combined with some healthy fats (from the almonds and coconut), these chocolate cookies become pretty well balanced.
And do you really need an excuse to eat more chocolate? We didn’t think so.
With Valentines Day around the corner, these chocolate almond butter cookies make a great option to whip up. All the flavor and indulgence but none of the nutrient-void ingredients of traditional cookies.
Plus, the recipe only takes about fifteen minutes to make, so they’re great if you’re short on time!
Now there’s no reason you can’t have your chocolate and eat it too!
