I grew up loving oatmeal. However, as I’ve gotten older I’ve found that grains just don’t always suit me well anymore. This grain-free porridge is a wonderful treat and I don’t miss oatmeal at all.
Grain-Free Porridge Recipe
There’s nothing processed or unnatural in this porridge. Made with real food ingredients, this grain-free porridge is gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. Those packs of flavored instant oatmeal can’t say the same, can they?
What’s in this wholesome mix?
- Wildly Organic Coconut Flakes
- Wildly Organic Chia Seeds
- Wildly Organic Coconut Milk Powder
- ground flax seed
- spices such as cinnamon and ground ginger

Multiply this recipe and mix up a big batch for even easier preparation in the morning, too! Use a slightly heaped ½ cup of mix per 1 ¼ cups of water (1 serving). However, be sure to store the mix in the refrigerator or freezer to keep it fresh longer. Ground flax seed can go rancid quickly if not kept refrigerated or frozen. - 1 1/2tablespoon Wildly Organic Chia Seeds

- 1 1/2 tablespoon ground flax seed
- 1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground gingeroptional
- 1/8teaspoon Wildly Organic Himalayan Pink Salt
- 1 1/4cup water
- 1/2teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Wildly Organic Coconut Syrup
- Wildly Organic Coconut Sugar
- Your favorite sugar substitute

In a sauce pan, mix together the coconut flakes, chia seeds, ground flax, coconut milk powder, spices, and salt, breaking up any clumps.

Add water and stir well, then heat over medium heat until it comes to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The mixture will thicken as it cooks and thicken slightly more as it cools.

Stir in any sweetener or add-ins as desired and enjoy.
When making this recipe in bulk, store mixture in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer. When cooking, 1 heaping cup of mix to 1 1/4 cup water.
